This month, our theme “Stories from the Qur’an for Young Hearts” focuses on one of the most inspiring stories — the story of Prophet Ayyub (AS) — a powerful reminder of Sabr (patience) in times of hardship.

Who Was Prophet Ayyub (AS)?

Prophet Ayyub (AS) was a man blessed with good health, wealth, and family. But when Allah tested him with illness and loss, he never lost faith. Despite his pain and struggles, Ayyub (AS) remained patient and continued to remember Allah with a grateful heart.

His story teaches both children and adults that true patience means trusting Allah even when life feels hard.

Why Teach Patience to Kids?

In today’s fast-moving world, it’s easy for children to feel frustrated when things don’t go their way — a toy breaks, a game doesn’t load, or they have to wait their turn.
That’s why teaching sabr is so important.

When children learn about Prophet Ayyub (AS), they see that patience isn’t just waiting quietly — it’s about staying calm, hopeful, and trusting that Allah has a plan.

This story encourages little hearts to:

  • Be thankful for what they have.

  • Stay strong even when they face small challenges.

  • Remember Allah in every situation.
